Patients with COVID-19 from Abkhazia promised to treat in Sochi


In an infectious disease hospital in Sochi, patients diagnosed with COVID-19 will be taken for treatment from Abkhazia. This was announced on August 4 by the head of the Abkhaz Ministry of Health Tamaz Tsakhnakia, whose statement was published by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Abkhazia. On this day, a delegation of the Ministry of Health of Russia arrived in the republic to evaluate the measures taken in the country to prevent the spread of coronavirus and to treat COVID-19. Russian experts visited the Gudauta Central District Hospital, which is a hospital for receiving infected SARS-CoV-2, as well as an ambulance station and a children's clinic in Sukhum. At the meeting, representatives of the Ministry of Health of Russia promised to send a team of doctors and supply medicines to work in the Gudauta Central District Hospital. The Russian side is also ready to accept patients from Abkhazia. A corresponding order will be issued in the Krasnodar Territory on patient routing.
