Abkhaz authorities opened the border with Russia

Restrictions on the entry of citizens of the Russian Federation into Abkhazia, acting due to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, lifted the authorities of the republic. This was announced on August 1 by the press secretary of the President of Abkhazia Marianne Kvitsinia to TASS. The border (between the Russian Federation and Abkhazia) can be crossed unhindered by pedestrians and transport, Quitzinia noted. According to the news agency, on August 1, Russia officially opened the border with Abkhazia. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
