Lenin's Muse: Who Was and How Inessa Armand Died

On September 24, 1920, a prominent Bolshevik, a fighter for women's rights in Soviet Russia, Inessa Armand, died suddenly in his prime in Nalchik. According to the official version, she was brought to the grave by cholera picked up in Beslan. Armand was in the Caucasus for treatment at the suggestion of Vladimir Lenin. It is believed that associates in the RCP (b) were connected not only by party affairs, but also by closer, possibly love relations. Nadezhda Krupskaya, Lenin's official wife, looked understandably at their affair and did not bother her rival.
