Pakistani airline banned in US

The US Department of Transportation has banned Pakistan International Airlines from flying to the United States due to concerns of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAU) regarding certification of pilots from Pakistan, Reuters reports. According to the agency, in June 2020 in Pakistan revealed that about a third of pilots in the country use fake licenses for flying. In this regard, the United States decided to suspend flights of Pakistani airlines. It is noted that earlier the European Union introduced a similar ban for a period of six months. So far, the press service of Pakistan International Airlines has not officially commented on this information. However, Pakistani media have already confirmed the ban on flights to the United States.
