President of Serbia does not consider it appropriate to interfere in the personnel policy of Russia
President of Serbia Alexander Vuchić does not intend to interfere in the internal personnel policy of Russia. He stated this on June 3, answering questions from journalists during a press conference in Novi Pazar. One of the journalists asked Vuchić to comment on the information that the future director of the Russian Cooperation may be appointed deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and TV journalist Eugene Primakov. We have true friendly relations with Russia, I have very good relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. I am proud of the fact that I am the first Serb after Nikola Pashich to receive the Order of Alexander Nevsky, at the same time from the hands of Vladimir Putin. I believe that this is a guarantee of our friendly relations. But it does not occur to me to interfere in any way in their internal personnel policy, Pink TV reported the president's response live. We remind that earlier Serbian publication Blitz, which is known for repeated provocative statements against Russia, published an article, which claims that the appointment of Primakov to the post of head of the Russian Cooperation Putin allegedly sends a message to Vucic that he is unhappy with his too independent foreign policy. In December 2019, on the eve of President Vuchić's visit to Sochi, the same publication reported that Eugene Primakov had allegedly proposed to the Serbian leader to form a technical government with the participation of opposition representatives in March 2019 after an interview with President Vuchić. It is noteworthy that the publication in Blitz appeared after the International Panorama broadcast by Primakov, which discussed the spy scandal that took place in the autumn of 2019, just in advance of the visit of the President of Serbia to Russia. Earlier, Blitz published a provocative video in which Russian citizen Georgy Kleban allegedly transfers a package of money to a retired Serbian officer. Eugene Primakov himself published on his Facebook page a comment on allegations from the Serbian publication. I read a lot of new things in the Serbian press. For example, I allegedly encouraged President Vucic to establish a government with the most irreconcilable opposition. And in general interfered in the internal affairs of Serbia (!). () Yes I don 't even know anyone of these characters. But one thing is even pleasant: it turns out, the International Review is closely watched in Belgrade. And that's how they react, well, as they can. Not indifferent people. Thank you for your attention, wrote the Russian deputy and TV journalist.
