Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine: Kiev will not help the Russian Federation to solve problems of water supply to Crimea

The authorities of Ukraine do not intend to help Moscow solve problems of water supply to Crimea. This was announced on June 1 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba. According to him, the authorities of Ukraine are closely following the events that are taking place on the Crimean peninsula. According to Kuleba, Kiev estimates the situation in Crimea as critical. Of course, the situation there, I would say, is more than critical. But we do not plan to help Russia solve its problems as an occupier, said the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry. As previously reported by the news agency, after the return to Russia, the situation with the water supply to Crimea was complicated, as the main sources of fresh water on the peninsula was the North Crimean Canal, delivering water to the steppe part of the peninsula from the Dnieper River. But Ukraine has blocked this channel. Now in Crimea local sources accumulate water in reservoirs and drill artesian wells.
