In Kiev, once again announced the development of a strategy for the return of Crimea


The Ukrainian authorities are developing a strategy for the deoccupation and reintegration of Crimea, Anton Korinevich, the permanent representative of the President of Ukraine to the Crimea, said at a briefing on June 25. The official said that his department was reanimating work in this direction. Our position is unequivocal the state should have such a strategy, Korinevich said. He also said that one of the steps of such a strategy is the adoption of a law on the indigenous peoples of Ukraine: In order to consolidate this concept at the state level and demonstrate that there are three indigenous people in Ukraine that are related to the Crimean peninsula: Crimean Tatars, Karaites and Crimchaks, the official emphasized. According to him, on July 8 there will be hearings on this issue in the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights and Deoccupation, as a result, there may be some positive progress. the news agency recalls that on June 12, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a telephone conversation with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Leven, spoke in favor of returning the issue of Crimea temporarily occupied by Russia to the agenda. Earlier this year, the president said that the return of Crimea is an undisputed part of the Ukrainian national idea.
