Turkey plans to resume foreign tourism from June

Foreign tourism is planned to start in June this year by the authorities of Turkey. This was announced on May 16 by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the country Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said that from mid-June it is possible to resume international tourism for citizens of a number of countries. First of all, they will be citizens of China, South Korea and other countries of Asia. In addition, it is planned to resume international flights on a regular basis to a number of countries of the world. The head of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism also clarified that domestic tourism in the country can resume from May 28, immediately after the end of the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims. This decision can be taken by the authorities if citizens comply with sanitary safety measures and if the incidence of coronavirus in the country is reduced. Ersoy added that the Government of Turkey has developed a program of certification of hotels for the adoption of sanitary and hygienic safety measures. This experience already assumes a number of European Union countries. Earlier, the news agency reported that 1,708 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Turkey during the day. The total number of confirmed infections exceeded 146.5 thousand, of which 4055 were killed.
